MYERSTOWN, PA — On Monday, October 27, The Exterior Company (TEC) will be giving back in a big way through its community program, Roof Rescue, by providing the Kapp Family of Myerstown with a brand-new roof and gutter system — completely free of charge.
The project will begin early Monday morning around 7 a.m., with TEC’s team of roofing professionals and volunteers on-site throughout the day for a full roof and gutter replacement. The Roof Rescue initiative highlights TEC’s commitment to helping families in need, strengthening community ties, and showcasing the power of local businesses giving back.

Jeff, Laura, Hayleigh, and Deacon Kapp of Myerstown, PA, were chosen as this year’s Roof Rescue recipients through community nomination. The Kapps were recognized for their servant spirit — a family devoted to helping others through both faith and action.
Laura, a gifted education teacher, and Jeff, a pastor, have dedicated their lives to serving their community. They’ve faithfully chosen this path, often sacrificing higher-paying opportunities to live out their values and trust that they will always have what they need. That commitment extends to raising two children in college without relying on student loans.
Behind the scenes, health challenges have made it difficult for Jeff to take on large home projects — like the new roof their family desperately needs. Yet through it all, the Kapps have remained steadfast in their commitment to giving, serving, and living with purpose.
“We are honored to bless the Kapp family with a new roof this year through our Roof Rescue program,” Hydrick added. “Their story is a true example of selflessness, resilience, and the power of community coming together to support those who give so much of themselves.”
