The Exterior Company Continues to Grow, Receiving Top Honors!
The Exterior Company is thrilled to once again be recognized among the fastest growing, privately-owned companies in the nation, making the prestigious Inc. 5000 list for 2020. It takes hard work and dedication, but even more so, an amazing community who shares the work TEC has done with their neighbors, families, and friends.
“Our growth over the past few years has been exciting. We are humbled and grateful for the trust homeowners have given us,” says Ryan Hoke, president of The Exterior Company. TEC began operating in 2012 and in less than a decade has grown to service cities in more than a dozen states up and down the East Coast.
This is the fifth year in a row TEC has made the Inc. 5000 list, with the company seeing a 306% growth in revenue this past year alone. Just recently, TEC made great strides in Roofing Contractor’s list of the Top 100 Roofing Contractors in the United States. First coming on the scene at number sixty-two in 2018, then to number forty-six last year—and now, thirty-third in the nation!
“While we clearly are happy with those numbers and the associated revenue, we are most proud of our long-standing record of being among the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania,” adds Hoke. The Exterior Company employs nearly 100 people, with the majority of its work focused on repairing homes damaged in storms.
So, what does the future hold for The Exterior Company? More movement—just down the road. With its site set on March of 2021, TEC will breathe new life into what was once a vacant and dilapidated property in downtown Lancaster. Just across the lot from Clipper Magazine Stadium, The Exterior Company’s new headquarters will boast nearly 10,500 square feet of space, complete with office space, a game room, and an employee lounge.
The nearly 3-million-dollar project, born from the once small dreams of TEC’s 36-year old owner, who is dreaming much bigger these days. Going into 2021, The Exterior Company is looking to grow its staff and its commercial side of the business.
“We’ve gotten a lot of requests through the years for commercial bids, but we’ve always been too busy to go after them all. Now, we have the teams in place and we’re ready to keep this momentum going,” says Hoke.
Work on the new office space is currently underway! Here is a look at the progress so far.
